Championing LGBTQIA+ Art By Artists for Artists

About the Artist

'A Queer Pilgrimage’ is an ongoing project from artist's El Lanham and Tom Maryniak that explores LGBTQ+ history through screen print based illustrations.

Inspired by their interests in printmaking, history and storytelling, the pilgrimage spans hundreds of years, transporting us from public demonstrations, such as The Gay Liberation Front’s first march in 1970, to the Dilly Boys of Piccadilly, with stories ranging from the bleak to the bawdy.

The Rainbow Collective is delighted to partner with ‘A Queer Pilgrimage’ to supply fine art print reproductions of their beautiful artworks.

A far cry from tradition, the living arrangements at 46 Gordon Square were a radical departure from the multi-generation traditions of Edwardian England - and a real shock to many.  A house in which only young people lived, it was originally home to Virgina Stephen (Woolf), Venessa Stephen (Bell) and their brothers Thoby and Adrian.

It became the first meeting place for what would later become known as The Bloomsbury Group and on Thursday evenings, its dressed-down members would sit, smoke, drink whiskey and converse. The group expanded to include Leonard Woolf, Lytton Strachey, David Garnett, Duncan Grant, John Maynard Keynes, Roger Fry and Saxon Sidney-Turner.

Although many of them eventually married, most openly explored their sexuality and they were well known to have unconventional sex, largely  because they led unconventional lives. Dorothy Parker remarked that they; “Lived in squares and loved in triangles”.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium Frames?

Simply put, our standard frames use pine and our premium frames use oak or ash (depending on the colour selection).

Both are crafted from responsibly sourced wood providing natural elegance that complements a variety of artistic styles.

We use museum-quality materials. Under normal indoor conditions, your artwork is designed to last for decades without noticeable fading.
