Collection: Ollie Reyes

Based in Sydney (Wangal), Oliver Reyes is a multidisciplinary illustrator, graphic designer, and curator who views visual storytelling as a democratic art form. Born to a family of South American migrants and raised between Western Sydney (Darug), the Inner West (Wangal), and Northern Rivers (Bundjalung), his practice is deeply informed by his identity as a genderqueer Latinx artist on the East Coast of So-Called Australia.

Creating through a "queer-of-centre" lens, Oliver uses vibrant imagery to translate personal and social narratives into a visual language that explores genderqueer politics, migrant histories, and diaspora stories.

His portfolio includes significant commissions for SBS, Warner Music, ACON, Headspace, and The Kids Research Institute. He currently holds design residencies with Canberra’s Blank Cultural Platform and You Are Here.

His work has been featured in spaces ranging from the Newcastle Museum and MOD to the Sock Drawer Heroes Packing Room Gallery and Goodspace Gallery.
